She was born on the 16th May 1986 in Oak Ridge, Tennessee. Megan's father who was a parole officer and her mother divorced when she was three years old. Her mother later remarried. Megan's mother and step father raised her and her sister. Both were very strict. She wasn't allowed to have a boyfriend or invite her friends to the house. She began her training in dance and drama at age five. She attended a dance class at the community center. Megan began modelling at age thirteen. At fifteen, Megan made her acting debut in the 2001 film 'Holiday in the sun'.
In 2013, she worked with director Michael Bay on his reboot of Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. Megan took again the role of April O'Neil in the 2016 film Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: Out of the shadows.
She is married to actor Brian Austin Green with three sons
