Modecia cont'd
It was a beautiful atmosphere. Some hours into the party, Keith walked in and headed straight for Modecia. She greeted him with her prettiest smile and he took her in a warm embrace.
"Missed me, M?”
He asked in nothing more than a whisper.
'Of course I did, after you went off like that for weeks'.
She followed suit in whispering.
He held her close.
" Modecia no mattet how far I go, I'll always return in time to be with you".
She smiled.
'I know Keith and I love it when you're around. Only if you won't go off too often'.
He nudged her closer and spoke in her ears softly,
"M, I won't be gone for months. No business out of town. So if you're ready, we'll take a vacation after this” he said looking at other circles formed by people in the party.
She laughed in his face.
'I accept.'
She felt through his hair with her trim fingers, 'as long as you adhere to my rules.
Their moment was interrupted.
"Hey keith, the party's still on, could we take your girl for the next few minutes?" Kim and Lucy interrupted them.
He mockingly charged forward putting Modecia behind him.
"What's more important than me?”
Kim smirked and looked towards the opposite direction before answering.
"We're thinking there's someone she would love to meet."
'It would be a splendid surprise'. Lucia chipped in.
Keith reached to Modecia with an open palm.
"Madame. Shall we?"
She smiled as she put her hand in his.
"I think we're ready"
Kim and Lucia led the way. As they neared, Modecia gasped.
"Adesh of Shadows clothing line?” It was more of a statement than a question.
" Ms. Adesh? What is she doing here? No one sent her an invite."
"We're surprised, like you Jaz."
As they approached the company of Ms. Andy Adesh, they took shorter steps.
"Wow, haven't seen her so close before, she's a stunning beauty."
Modecia was lost in the shimmering figure ahead of her. Lucia whispered softly,
"Jaz you have to keep your cool, I'm sure she'll keep her guard up, you need to make awesome impressions."
"It's all up to you now, what happens to Glisters. You're more stunning M." Keith added, giving her hand a warm squeeze.
With that, they stopped a few metres away from Adesh and her large company. Obviously Adesh was the older one and she had a really calm composure.
Modecia hesitated for a while, wanting Adesh to notice her first. For a few minutes it wasn't working. She was apparently engrossed in catching up with some old pals.
"Hey Ms. Adesh".
The stylish model turned and let a warm small, gentler than her famous one, to light her pretty face.
" Modecia, honey come here."
She lightly embraced the younger fashionista.
"I am very proud of your works. Watching your presentation, I was ecstatic. I saw the future of fashion." She kept her sweet smile and friendly poise. Modecia reciprocated with a smile as well, as genuine as her eyes.
"Oh! And who are these friends of yours?
" I thought you'd never ask because it appeared that we were unobvious". Keith gruffed.
Modecia thought her heart missed a beat. Keith smiled soon enough. It was a most enchanting smile.
"Ladies first. Meet kim and lucia. They are modecia's best friends, fashion designers."
The ladies got a warm embrace each.
"........And I'm keith, modecia's my woman."
"Great. That's so sweet. Are you some fashion mogul?"
"No, not at all. I'm an Auto-pilot but I do the fashion thing for my girl." Keith's statement erupted a laughter from all corners. Andy and keith shook hands for what seemed like years before Andy slyly commented.
"Keith, for an Auto-pilot, you are rather handsome . You would be a popular choice with the ladies."
She winked and let her hands drops.
Andy certainly caught him off guard as he muttered something which resounded like a thank you.
Modecia studies her, the most famous fashion disigner and model , chief executive of shadows clothing line.
"Ms Adesh....."
She was cut short.
"Andy, please."
"Okay Andy." Modecia broke into a smile as she imagined the whole situation again. The others left both women in company of each other.
" I feel so honoured and excited that you are here. Actually, I planned as a small celebration party, few friends, drinks and laughter. It would have been bigger if I had guessed that you would come".
Modecia, for a small celebration party,this is exquisite, I love it, totally love it. You know, if I could, all my celebration parties would look like this. A plain but cozy atmosphere.But I think you should know that I can't. It wouldn't be enough for my minimum number of guests. Everyone claims to be a friend, want to stay around for every social thing....."
And Andy gloated on and on, moreover, Modecia did not interrupt.
Her smile, unfainting, seemed to urge the woman of shadows.
Soon enough, her words vanished as soon as they emerged from her thoughts formed from that point.
"For the sake of mortal achievements.I admired this woman, like always, she's not worth it. Listen to her damn self gloating her achievement, she barely knows me .oh, the...... I didn't even send her an invite. I probably should pay her face a visit when there's nothing more important left to do."
