Wole Soyinka
Born Akinwande Oluwole Babatunde Soyinka on the 13th July, 1934.
He is a Nigerian playwright, poet and essay writer. He is the first African to be awarded the Nobel prize in Literature in 1986.
His motherwas a prominent member of the influential Ransome-Kuti family.
Works of Soyinka include;
1. The Lion and the jewel
2. Before the blackout.
3. Kongi's harvest.
4. The Interpreters.
5. Egbe's sworn enemy
6. Ake: The years of childhood.
7. Idanre and other poems.
